First Niagra Rochester Fringe Festival 2015 and Geva Theatre Center present Feathered Landing: A Convergence of Dances, which brings together dance artists and choreographers from Columbus, OH and Rochester, NY for two Fringe performances. This evening-length show is an eclectic collection of dances that celebrates the existing relationships between artists in Columbus and Rochester, linking the cities as thriving and corresponding artist centers. Tammy Carrasco and Sarah Levitt lead the curation of Feathered Landing to engage a wide range of audiences, drawing from both Rochester’s and Columbus’s local dance and music communities. Music selections range from Beethoven to Lynyrd Skynyrd, and there will live music performed by local musicians playing the piano, drum and banjo!

Expect dances of solos, duets and trios that range from full-bodied explorations of partnered improvisation to high-energy clogging, to methodical investigations of bodied architecture and soft minimalism.  Feathered Landing represents the multifaceted range of modern dance and fulfills a fundamental mission of the Rochester Fringe Festival by gathering artists from far and wide to converge on a Rochester stage. This is not a show to miss!

Saturday, September 19, 2:30pm & Sunday, September 20, 8pm at Geva Theatre Center
